What does a Dubai restaurant need from a POS?

Dubai restaurants need VAT-inclusive pricing, tax invoices with a TRN, screens in several languages for a mixed team, and payment by card and Apple Pay through their bank. A busy Karama cafeteria also needs fast counter ordering, while a JLT bistro needs tables, coursing and bookings.

Restaurant POS Studio covers both styles in one system. The Counter plan suits a cafeteria with one register and a kitchen screen. Full Service adds coursing, tip pooling, split checks and bookings for a sit-down dining room.

Your team can work in Arabic with right-to-left screens, English, or Urdu, and other languages through editable translations. Receipts print bilingual labels with your logo and TRN.

  • VAT-inclusive AED prices
  • TRN on every tax invoice
  • Arabic, English and Urdu screens
  • Counter or full-service setup

How do I prepare the POS for Ramadan in Dubai?

Set your Ramadan opening hours, create iftar and suhoor set menus as products, and take bookings by time slot on the bookings calendar. At sunset, fire set menus by course so the kitchen paces the room. After Ramadan, switch the set menus off without deleting them for next year.

Iftar brings almost every table in at once. Prepare the dates, water and soup course ahead and fire it when the table is seated, then fire mains when the kitchen is ready.

Large family and corporate iftar bookings can be held on the calendar with table, staff and start time. A customer notification can confirm the booking.

  • Iftar and suhoor set menus
  • Bookings by time slot
  • Course firing at sunset
  • Switch menus off, keep them for next year

How do delivery orders fit into the POS?

Enter delivery app orders as their own order type, so they reach the same kitchen screen as dine-in orders and show separately in reports. You also get your own online store built from your menu, so regular guests can order direct for pickup without a delivery app in between.

Delivery is a big part of sales for many Dubai restaurants, especially in residential areas and cafeterias. Tracking it as a separate order type lets you see how much of the day came from delivery.

Your online store and QR contactless menu use the same products and prices as the POS. Change a price once and it changes everywhere.

  • Delivery as a separate order type
  • Same kitchen queue as dine-in
  • Your own online store for pickup
  • Prices changed once, everywhere

Setup notes for Dubai

What our onboarding desk checks first for restaurants here.

  • Add your TRN and bilingual labels to the receipt layout before your first service, and ask your tax agent to check one sample invoice.
  • If your venue adds a service charge or municipality fee, set it as its own line so it shows clearly on the bill.
  • Give each staff member their own PIN and interface language, so a mixed team of Arabic, Urdu, Hindi and Tagalog speakers each read clearly.
  • Prepare Ramadan set menus and booking slots a week before the month starts, then train the floor on course firing at sunset.
