What is a managed restaurant website?

A managed restaurant website is a custom site that a studio designs, hosts and maintains for you. You do not log in to a builder or fix broken pages. You send changes by message, and the team makes them. It includes hosting, your domain, menu updates and monthly edits.

Most owners do not have time to learn a website builder. The site gets built once, then the hours go out of date and the menu shows dishes you stopped making last spring. Guests notice, and so does Google. A managed site fixes that by making the upkeep someone else's job. Our web studio builds the site around your food and your guests, then keeps it current. Our sister studios, getrestaurantwebsite.com and eaterywebstudio.com, build these sites with the same team.

You keep control of what it says. You approve the design, and every change you ask for is made by people, not by a template. You also get a clear list of what is included each month, so you know which changes are part of the plan. Nothing goes live on your site without you seeing it first, and you can ask questions at any step.

  • Custom design, not a theme
  • Hosting, SSL and domain handled
  • Monthly edits by message
  • Menu kept current

Can I buy the website without the POS?

Yes. The managed website is sold on its own. If you already use another POS, we keep your menu page updated from the list you send us, and the order button can point to your existing ordering page. If you later move to our POS, the menu page syncs automatically.

Some owners are happy with their POS and only need a better website. That is fine. You get the same custom design, hosting and monthly edits. The only difference is how the menu page stays current: by your updates to us, instead of a live sync. If you do use our POS, the website reads your products, prices and photos. Mark the short rib as 86'd for the season and it leaves the website menu too.

Pricing for the website alone, and for the bundle with the POS, is shown on the pricing page in your currency. Switching later is simple. When you move to our POS, we connect the menu page to your products and remove the manual updates, so the website and the dining room menu stay the same without anyone retyping prices.

  • Works with any POS
  • Live menu sync when you use our POS
  • Order button to any ordering page
  • Upgrade to the bundle any time

How is it different from the online store that comes with the POS?

The online store is an ordering page generated from your POS menu. It is quick and included with every plan. The managed website is a full restaurant site: home page, story, catering, events, photos and local search pages, designed by people and kept updated each month. Many owners use both together.

Think of the online store as the counter and the website as the front door. The store takes orders well. It does not tell your story, rank for "best pho near me", or show your private-dining room. The website does those things, and its order button sends guests to your store. Guests read about you on the website, then order in two taps.

If you only need online ordering today, start with the store. When you want more guests to find you, add the managed website. Both share the same brand details, photos and menu when you use our POS. Guests see one restaurant, whether they find you on Google, scan a QR code at the table, or tap the order button on your home page.

  • Store: ordering, included with the POS
  • Website: discovery, story and search
  • Both share one menu when you use our POS
  • Add the website when you are ready

How long does a managed restaurant website take to launch?
POS Studio

Most sites launch within a few weeks of the brief, depending on how fast photos and feedback come back. The home and menu pages are designed first so you can approve the look early. We tell you the planned launch date after the brief call.

Who writes the words on my website?
POS Studio

Our team writes them from the brief call and your menu, and you approve every page. You can send your own text if you prefer. We keep sentences short and clear so guests and search engines understand them.

Can I keep my current domain name?
POS Studio

Yes. We connect the domain you already own, so your address does not change. If you do not have one, we help you register one in your name. The domain always stays yours.

What counts as a monthly edit?
POS Studio

Changes to text, hours, prices, specials, photos and event notices are monthly edits. Send them by message and we make them. Large new sections, such as a whole catering menu, are planned with you as a separate small project.

Do I need to provide professional photos?
POS Studio

No, but good photos help. Phone photos taken in daylight work well for many restaurants. We can tell you which dishes to shoot and how, and we use only photos you own or have the right to use.

Will my website show up on Google?
POS Studio

We build every page so search engines can read it: clear titles, structured data for your hours, address and menu, and fast loading on phones. No one can promise a ranking position. Your reviews, location and competition also matter.

What happens to my website if I stop the service?
POS Studio

You keep your domain. Tell us before you cancel and we will help you move it. The site content, such as your text and photos, is yours to take with you.

Can the website take reservations?
POS Studio

Yes. We add a reservation button that connects to your bookings calendar in the POS, or to the booking tool you already use. Guests pick a time and you see it on the bookings screen.

Is there a setup fee for the managed website?
POS Studio

There is a one-time setup fee when you buy the website on its own, shown on the pricing page in your currency. In the Service Bundle the website setup fee is waived. Monthly hosting and edits are a separate monthly price.
