What you’ll do: You will check the online store that is built from your menu, then publish it. After that you will share the link and print a QR code so guests can read your menu contactless.
Before you start
- Add your menu items. See import your menu from a CSV.
- Link your modifier sets. See create modifier sets.
- Take clear photos of your best-selling dishes in good light.
- Decide your opening hours and pickup rules for online orders.
Steps
- Finish your menu. The store reads your products, prices, photos and stock. Check every item you want online has a clear name, the right category and price, and a photo. Items with no photo still show, but they sell less.
- Check stock. Mark items that are sold out or seasonal. Guests should not be able to order what the kitchen cannot make tonight.
- Preview the store. Open the online store preview. Read it like a guest:
- On a phone, because most guests order there.
- Check categories are in a sensible order: starters before mains.
- Add one item with modifiers to the cart and check the price.
- Publish the store. Turn on the publish toggle. The store goes live for guests at your store link.
- Share the link. Copy the store link. Add it to your website, your social media profiles and your map listing. Send it to regular guests.
- Print the QR menu. Print the store’s QR code for a contactless menu. Put it on table cards, the front window and takeout bags. Scan it with your own phone first to test it.
Tips from the onboarding team
- Photos sell. Start with your top ten dishes. Same background, same angle, natural light.
- Write descriptions for the guest. One line: what it is and what it tastes like. Save kitchen short names for tickets.
- Update stock before service. A sold-out item marked on time saves a refund call later.
- Test an order end to end. Place a real order on your phone and follow it through to the kitchen.
- Your menu is already your website. Read more on our online ordering feature page.
If something goes wrong
| Problem | Fix |
|---|---|
| Guests say the link does not open | Check the publish toggle is on. Copy the link again and test it in a private browser window. |
| An item shows the wrong price | Fix the price on the product. The store uses the same price as the POS. |
| A sold-out dish can still be ordered | Update the item’s stock or mark it out of stock. |
| Photos look stretched or blurry | Upload larger photos with the same shape, ideally square. |
| The QR code opens the wrong page | Re-print the QR code after any change to the store link. |
| Modifiers do not show online | Make sure the modifier set is linked to the product in Settings → Modifiers. |

Do I have to build the online store separately?
No. It is generated automatically from your products, prices, photos and stock. When you change the menu, the store updates.
Can I hide an item from the online store?
Mark it out of stock, or keep it out of the products you publish online. Check the preview after any change.
Is there a commission on online orders?
The online store is part of your plan. See the pricing page for what is included.
Can guests scan a QR code at the table?
Yes. The store gives you a QR code for a contactless menu. Print it on table cards, menus or the window.
How do guests pay online?
Card payments work with your own processor. Ask support during setup which payment options suit your country.
Can I take the store offline for a holiday?
Yes. Turn the publish toggle off. Turn it back on when you reopen.
